Acquisitions and sales

Buy the right aircraft. Sell yours with the records to back it.

We help owners buy the right aircraft and sell the one they have. You get an evaluator's eye on the aircraft and its records, and straight answers at every step.

Buying

Before you sign a purchase agreement

The best time to find a problem is before you own it. We evaluate the aircraft and its records, and stay with you through closing.

How a purchase runs

  1. Agree what the aircraft has to do: range, cabin, runways and budget
  2. Search the market and build a shortlist
  3. Review the logbooks and records
  4. Check avionics mandates and program status, such as FANS, CPDLC, ADS-B, LPV and engine programs
  5. Choose the pre-purchase shop, set the scope and review the findings
  6. Negotiate the findings and close with your attorney and escrow agent
  7. Take delivery, with setup under MJM management if you want it

Selling

When it is time to sell

Buyers pay for good records. We prepare your aircraft and its paperwork, find the buyer and manage the sale through closing.

How a sale runs

  1. Organize the records and close any gaps before listing
  2. Prepare a clear spec sheet and photos
  3. Price the aircraft against what comparable aircraft are listed and selling for
  4. Market it to owners, operators and brokers
  5. Answer buyer questions with someone who knows the aircraft
  6. Manage the buyer's pre-purchase inspection with the shop
  7. Close with escrow and title

Records first

Most surprises in a deal are in the records

We read the logbooks before money changes hands. Anything missing or unclear goes back to the seller as a question, while you still have room to negotiate.

  • Logbooks and airworthiness directives checked
  • Damage history and repairs traced to their paperwork
  • Engine and APU programs confirmed and transferable
  • Inspections coming due, priced before you agree a number

Why a manager

It helps to have a manager on your side of the deal

An evaluator's eye

Micky has evaluated pilots on the Falcon 2000, 900 and 2000EX EASy since 2015 and holds a G200 PIC type rating. He knows what to look for in the aircraft and in the logbooks.

The real cost of owning

We manage aircraft every month, so we can tell you what a type costs to own and operate, as well as what it costs to buy.

Someone who knows the aircraft

When you sell, buyers get answers from the person who has run the aircraft, not from a listing.

Buy, then own

From closing straight into management

If you buy with us, the aircraft can go straight into MJM management on delivery. The person who read the records sets the aircraft up, crews it and keeps it airworthy.
